Welcome to Long Grove

Apple Festival
October 2-3-4, 2009

Any way you slice it, visitors can expect to have bushels of fun at the Annual Long Grove Apple Festival. Celebrate fall’s favorite fruit and the many delicious ways to enjoy it – from Long Grove’s famous brown bag apple pies and apple cider donuts to hot apple cider, caramel apple lattes, apple martinis, and more!

Village restaurants and outdoor food booths will carry a wide range of apple-inspired treat, as well as bushels full of tree-ripened apples. Visitors will enjoy outdoor ambiance and the many activities and live music staged throughout the historic village.

The lineup of great entertainment on the stage in Fountain Square and at the Covered Bridge and the Mill Pond will feature folk, bluegrass, country, rock, and jazz throughout the three-day weekend and will "a-peel" to festival-goers of all ages. Families with children will find plenty of activities for kids, including pony rides, kiddie rides, face painting, and educational booths.

Long Grove has transformed a crossroads of historic homes and shops into a charming and upscale shopping and dining destination. Explore nearly 70 shops, boutiques, galleries, cafes, and restaurants. Stroll the cobblestone paths, enjoy the flowering gardens, and find an exciting new mix of contemporary gifts and styles, music, and fine arts.

Long Grove is located in Chicago's northern suburbs, near Routes 53 and 83, north of Lake-Cook Rd.
