Flaming Flapjacks Pancake Breakfast April 5, 2008 On Saturday, April 5, enjoy all-you-can-eat pancakes, sausages, coffee, and fruit — hosted by the Long Grove Firefighters Association and the South Lake County Regional Community Emergency Response Team (serving Long Grove, Kildeer, Hawthorn Woods, and Lake Zurich). The time is 8:30 AM to Noon, the cost is $5 per person, and children under 3 eat free. The Flaming Flapjacks Pancake Breakfast will be held at the Long Grove Fire Protection District located at 1165 Old McHenry Road in Long Grove next to Long Grove's Archer Parking Lot. |

Chocolate Festival This festival celebrates the beginning of the outdoor special events season in Long Grove. Annual Strawberry Fest This is the granddaddy of Long Grove's signature festivals, drawing close to 50,000 visitors to the historic business district for the 3-day event. It is considered one of the premier outdoor festivals in the Chicagoland area. The pleasures of summer are celebrated with "berry wonderful" strawberry filled and inspired treats. 20th Annual Long Grove
Art Festival Shop among a wide variety of original artwork: watercolor, acrylic and oil paintings, jewelry, photography, sculpture, ceramics, glass, fiber and mixed media. The Long Grove Art Festival is juried and judged with cash awards. You can also enjoy continuous live music on Saturday and Sunday and a great variety of food and drink offered throughout the Fest. |

Grove Wine & Dine Enjoy an afternoon of fine wine, great good and lively entertainment at Long Grove's new Wine & Dine celebration. Tantalize your taste buds with samples from more than 80 imported, domestic and local wines. Live entertainment and wine-themed activities will be featured, along with food from Long Grove's local restaurants. $25 per person includes sampling in the wine tent and a souvenir Long Grove wine glass. |

Festival Any way you slice it, the Long Grove Apple Festival is a wonderful way to spend a fall weekend in a beautiful country setting. Eighty shops and restaurants help celebrate with unique seasonal gifts and merchandise and flavorful comfort foods. Treats include cider donuts, caramel apples, brown bag apple pies, and even apple popcorn and apple martinis!
