Long Grove Historic Village is located in southern
Lake County, Illinois, just north of Lake Cook Road.
The nearby Interstate routes 94 and 53, State Highway
83 and Lake Cook Road offer rapid accessibility to all
points in Chicagoland and beyond.
From the North
Take I-94 and exit at Route 22 (Half Day Road). Go
west to Route 83 (about 6 miles) and turn left. Continue
to the third traffic light, which will be Robert Parker
Coffin Road. Turn right and continue about one-half
mile. The parking lot sign (Archer Lot) will be on
your left.
From the East:
Take Lake-Cook Road to Route 83. Turn right on Rt.
83 and continue to old Route 53. Turn left onto Route
53 and almost immediately turn right (at traffic light)
on Old McHenry Road. Two parking lots are available
about one half mile down the road: Archer Lot is to
the right and Stempel Lot is to the left.
From the South:
Take I-294 to I-90 West to 53 North. Continue on Route
53 to the end and take the west exit. This will put
you on Lake-Cook Rd. Continue west to the traffic light
(Route 53/Hicks Road) and turn right. Go to the third
stoplight and turn left onto Old McHenry Road and into
the village. The Municipal Archer parking lot will be
on your right and the Stempel lot will be on your left.
From the West:
Take I-90 to 53 North. Continue on Route 53 to the
end and take the west exit. This will put you on Lake-Cook
Rd. Continue west to the traffic light (Route 53/Hicks
Road) and turn right. Go to the third stoplight and
turn left onto Old McHenry Road and into the village.
The Municipal Archer parking lot will be on your right
and the Stempel lot will be on your left.
From the Southwestern Suburbs:
Take Route 355 to I-290 North, which turns into 53
North. Continue on Route 53 to the end and take the
west exit. This will put you on Lake-Cook Rd. Continue
west to the traffic light (Route 53/Hicks Road) and
turn right. Go to the third stoplight and turn left
onto Old McHenry Road and into the village. The Municipal
Archer parking lot will be on your right and the Stempel
lot will be on your left.
By Rail to nearby Buffalo Grove or Arlington Heights
stations, then taxi to Long Grove.
