The Baltic amber deposits range
between 35 to 80 million years old and are the largest source of amber
yet discovered. A piece of amber looks like a stone, but when
held gives a deep feeling of warmth. When heated, amber will emit a
gentle resin scent. These sensations made people feel better and believe
in the healing power of amber.
