Returning visitors to the shop are virtually guaranteed to sample
a fresh collection or two of American handcrafts.
And your children will enjoy the miniature depictions
of our craftsmen studios viewable at their eye-level in a 19th
century grain counter.

In June 1976, the Zasadils brought their honed craft of specialty
wood-working to Long Grove, Illinois. Within their circle
of friends, were other craftsmen who soon looked to them as a
way to also present their pieces in the town of Long Grove and
the greater, Chicago area.
Now, 27 plus years past, The Arkwright and His Friends,
have exhibited fine quality, American handcrafts from over hundreds
of other craftsmen. Delighting the shoppers of Long Grove,
are pieces from jewelers, potters, glass artists, toy makers and
scrimshanders - to name a few.
